Allowances Allowances, they are commonly used to award children as well as give them a sense of responsibility. While some parents disagree with giving their children an allowance. I think it is beneficial for the child and is a great reward. Giving children an allowance can help them learn more about finances. A study done by T. Rowe Price found that is important to allow your kids to make mistakes and mishandle money. Those people who made those mistakes  and learned from them feel a lot more knowledgeable about financing. Allowances can also open up a reason for you and your child to talk about money. Kids who have frequent conversations about money with their parents — in additi...

Sno Online Papers

The Maroon Online Not a Good FIT Lauren Ward wrote the story Her story is about how the new FIT time is way to short to complete things and she would rather have more lunch time to go to her teachers the or in the morning instead of then. "FIT isn’t worth losing the 20 or so minutes off of lunch. We already have access to the tutoring center in the mornings beginning at 7:45 and in the afternoons ending at 6:30. Each of our teachers have specific tutoring times that we can utilize. Lunch also allowed time to turn in time sensitive homework or assignments, but with this new FIT time, lunch no longer gives us enough time to do the things we used to be able to do." She really does not think fit is necessary for her because she does not have a lot of time to even complete an assignment. No she only kind of mentions there are pros in the beginning but never fully addresses it. She had some parts that she said that would make it better, but she then proceeded to say what w...

Creative Writing Story

I had the best dog anyone could ever ask for, his name was Dexter. He was apart of our family long before I was born. He was just the coolest. If he was around today he would have been 18 on September 20, but this summer unfortunately we had to put him down. When my parents adopted Dexter he was only six weeks old. He was the birthday present for my brother who was at the time five years old. From stories I have heard I came to know that Dexter was a little monster as a puppy, because he literally chewed on everything. Instead of giving him up though one of our neighbors friends afford to take him away for three months and train him since she was a professional. Three months later we thought we had received a whole new dog.   My parents built our house in 1999 in Circle C. Our house was the second one to be built on our street. Also no one lived behind us it was just basically open field. During the day Dexter would just roam around the whole neighborhood. Sometimes we reall...
