1. The writers stance is he feels science is their to help society and that is how we make decisions. He feels we would be nothing with out it   because we would potentially do the wrong things. He believes science is more of a helpful tool, but sometimes it gets messy due to emotions
2. I got my information from the first few paragraphs and the seventh one.
3. He said, " The public of our leaders would benefit from viewing scientific progress as not threat but as a powerful tool to enhance the quality and enjoyment of our world
4.  The Author used this as evidence, "We advocate that artists, humanists, social scientists and physical scientists collaborate in conveying how science can elevate us, exhilarate us and provide the best evidence for us to use in making important decisions. In part, this educational challenge requires us to respectfully address long-standing cultural and societal biases toward long-held beliefs.
5. The writer concluded his story with a way to solve his problem with the leaders not respecting science and getting a message across to think carefully about it.
6. I thought his story was really good and he used a lot of facts to prove his opinions. he did not just tell us what he was talking about, but he described the topic as well as gave us reason to agree. 
7. I agree with his opinion that some people do not see science important to society. He put up some really good reasons why people don't and why it actually does which really made me think about it.
