Sprained again
On Sunday afternoon in Hawaii my friend Will and I were walking back to our hotel from the beach. My roommates decided to stay and relax there for awhile, but I wanted to get ready for dinner later that night. When we got to the hotel we took the elevator to the my floor and I got off, and he continued to his floor. When i got to my room I went to the bathtub and washed the sand off the chacos on my feet. I had grabbed the wall to keep stable while taking them off, but when I took my hand off the wall while still struggling to get them off. When I finally was able to get it off my left ankle slipped, since my feet were wet. I then rolled my ankle and hit my head on the wall. I only remember waking up on the floor with a major headache. Not having a relative sense of time I didn’t know how long I was out for, but when I attempted to get up I just couldn’t due to the pain coming from my foot. Doing that lead me to sit back down I cried for around 20 minutes until I decided I had to just get up and shower so I could make it to dinner. When I got into the shower I sat there and washed all the sand off of me and sat to relax. When I got out I was able to dress and sit to repack my suitcase. As I did that I iced my ankle which was swollen to the size of a softball. Finally when my roommates got back around four they got ready and helped me walk downstairs and tell my directors and chaperone what happened. Originally we were meeting downstairs to start our walk to dinner with everyone, but do to my condition I couldn’t walk the 2 miles it would be. So instead I rode in an uber to dinner for that night and the next two. By now my ankle is feeling better, but after long periods of walking or standing it hurts which is normal because I have sprained it before this event
