Long answers
- The company that created the cellphone pouch is Yondr created by Graham Dugoni in 2014.
- In america over 600 schools implement the Yondr pouches. Though the use is not limited to just us it is used in Europe and Australia as well.
- The purpose of these ouches is to disconnect people from their phones for a period of time. You slip your phone in the pouch when entering school or whatever event needed then they won't be returned to the owner until the end of the the event.
- Some of the side effects at the high school is a raise in grades and a depletion by 82% of bad behavior. The campus is also a lot noisier now, since people have to converse instead of able to be on their phone.
- I think pouches could be useful in schools like they said, museums to refrain from picture taking, weddings to keep an intimacy, and maybe at homes to help parents control the use with their children.
- I would not like it if Bowie used them all day, because I feel we use them a lot like to contact friends during lunch, or in my personal life I sometime have to tell my mom something so it would be very inconvenient to not have them accessible through the day. I understand maybe through the class period to help prevent distractions though.
- I don't think people will ever stop using cell phones since we have taught children at such young age about technology. I think this will definitely have a negative impact on the incoming generations social skills. I even think that sometimes I am just a little to shy to do certain things that I could possibly do on the internet.
