President Kennedy Assassinated:1963
John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas on November 22. He was shot three times while sitting next to his wife riding around the town. He was in Dallas due to his campaigning, while in the car that after noon on his way to the Dealey palace he was killed. Hours after his death the killer had been arrested.
I think this was an important event in the 1900's because John F. Kennedy was an iconic president. He was the youngest man in office at the time and created many beneficial policies as president to end things with the Soviet Union. Kennedy was also such a charismatic president and everyone was sad to see him go.
United States enters World War II:1941

In 1941 Japanese forces bombed the United States navy base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Within days congress voted to declare war on Japan which entered them in to World War II. World war two effected but also benefit america in so many ways.
I think this is important because it has changed america in so many ways. First of all it taught women that they can be strong and they are important, since all the men were being drafted to war the women had to work in the factories and do all the things the men did. Next it started with the improvement of mass production. Last reason is it helped America come out of their depression and showed tem they are still strong and can fight any force.
American astronaut Neil Armstrong becomes the first human to walk on the moon. 1969.

In 1969 America sent up the first astronaut to step foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong. When they landed it was like a whole new advancement in technology for the world. Not only were they able to make it up to the moon safely but they made it right back on earth safely.
This is important because it shows what technology advancement their were in the 1900's. It really proves what we were capable of with such little knowledge we had at the time. It is also important because it showed our power as a country since we were the first to go up there.
