1. I heard about this topic through twitter and had seen it in the trending page, In world geography we talked a little about the situation. I had a chance as well to discuss what actually had and why with my parents too.
2. I do not think that anyone should be required to stand during the national anthem. Anyone that disagrees is saying that these people who chose not to do not have the right for freedom of speech and right to protest, which is stated in the constitution. The constitution gives those right to anyone no matter race or religion, so why should the NFL be excluded from these rights.
3. NFL players should be aloud to do what they please when the national anthem is going on some are getting prepared for their big games and others do want to stand for the anthem that should be their decision. Although it my be somewhat disrespectful to ignore it all together they still shouldn't get criticized for it.
4. I think president Trump should get his twitter taken away. He just is like a little child ranting and calling people out when their are so many more suppressing matters going on in the world currently. He could be using his time on other situations that he can't seem to solve or just hasn't even done yet.
5. I think that this is all about race, and that is why this has happened. African American have been completely mistreated by police and authority so tis is their silent kind of retaliation. Why would a race that is completely mistreated want to stand up and support this dysfunctional government.
6. I do not know anything about Colin Kaepernick. I would have to guess that he is involved in the NFL or something like that due to the situation revolving around that. I will have to due more research on him and how this all started.
