Long answer
- Trump's decision was very surprising because he went against all his party and solved an argument for the first time and did it by taking the other party's side. Trump also never seems to solve problems so this is new to all of us. It might also have a lot of interest because he is doing a good deed in a way by helping the people out.
- I think Trump made the decision because he wants to change the media's opinion on him by going with the side that will make him look like the good guy. He might truly want to help people, but it is also just to get on the good side of America since usually he is always on the negative side of things.
- I think the GOP leaders are just as surprised like us, but also very angry. They probably think Trump is not the best decision maker because he is making very quick unthought out. They might also be relizing how unfit for the job he could be because he can not make up his mind.
- I think it will benefit the people in need but I don't think will be good in the long run if he continues to do this. Him " reaching across the aisle" in future situations could make some people very upset. He also probably did not do this for the right reasons so that is upsetting that he potentially did it for good exposure.
